Men have a unique and important role to play in the work of ending human trafficking.
AND encourage other men to attend
8 Reasons I am attending Connect PDX and encourage other men to attend.
1. We as men are often the primary source of the problem of sex trafficking. As a man, I want to be part of the solution to end this terrible form of slavery.
2. I want to be thoroughly informed about the reality of this form of modern day slavery. This slavery exists all over the world, including our own community.
3. I want to see our churches and other organizations stepping up and leading the fight against this and other forms of slavery which exist right here where we live.
4. I want to see today’s men become modern day heroes that honor women and set them free. Where are the William Wilberforce’s (abolition of slavery in the U.K.) and the William and Catherine Boone’s (Salvation Army founders and leaders against sex Trafficking in England and Europe) of today?
5. I want to honor and support the women who are fighting to end this terrible evil as well as the women and girls who have been victimized by it.
6. I want to know how I as a man can help protect women and girls around me from becoming entrapped by the sex traffickers.
7. I want to see the sex industry (prostitution, strip clubs, pornography, etc) which seduces, victimizes, and destroys men and women begin to collapse on itself.
8. Finally, I want to see multitudes of men and women set free from the bondage of sexual addiction.
