Local Youth Shelter: Wish List

Organization:  Janus Youth Programs

Harry’s Mothers is a shelter here in Portland that is part of Janus Youth Program. It houses commercially sexually exploited children and supports them in exiting the life of sex trafficking.

We want to provide a way for individuals to immediately, directly, and substantially impact our program and the youth we serve. We have cre-ated an Amazon wish list of items our program and the residents can seldom afford to buy. It ranges from household needs like kitchenware, to things we never have enough of like new bras, or items like a karaoke machine that allows these kiddos to simply be kids and have fun for a day. Thanks in advance to any help or consideration you can give to this cause!

Distribute Freedom Stickers

Organization:  In Our Backyard

Research has shown that the place a victim of human trafficking is most likely to be alone is inside a restroom stall. These stickers, designed with advice from human trafficking survivors, are to be placed inside the restroom stalls.

With the short text code, BeFree (233733) a victim can text for help and know help is on the way and erase the texts from their phone before leaving the bathroom stall. We believe that by placing these stickers in critical locations lives can be saved here in Oregon and across the nation.

Want to help us distribute Freedom Stickers in your community? Visit our website to learn more!
