MTS is pleased to announce our first MTS Basic Training that will include an Advanced Leadership Track for churches and organizations that are utilizing Mending the Soul community-based models for discipleship and equipping purposes. There are a growing number of churches that are mobilizing foster care initiatives and are utilizing MTS Basic Training and the ten-week small group process for the preparation and development of their leaders as they desire to wrap connected support around foster parents, foster children, and birth families. Other churches are utilizing MTS Basic Training and small group process to develop well trained mentors to walk alongside those who need specialized support within their community but cannot afford professional services. There are also a growing number of residential and day-home facilities for sex-trafficked youth/adults that are utilizing MTS Basic and Princess Lost & Found as their mentor model for continuous care of marginalized and vulnerable youth/adults. The Advanced Leadership Track will include a third day of personal assessment, practice, and plan on six crucial characteristics of effective care-giving.
