On Sunday, October 27th, Compassion First will host our fifth annual Portland, From Numbers to Names Banquet and Experience Exhibit at the Red Lion on the River in Jantzen Beach. This year, we are excited to bring back the Silent Auction to join the Experience Exhibit prior to the dinner and program. The evening will be held in honor and support of the amazing young girls we serve, all survivors of sexual trafficking and forced prostitution; all in the midst of rebuilding their lives.
Over the last couple of years, Compassion First has had the privilege of parnering with the Portland Police Bureau and lcoal legal professionals who have helped create a foundation for change in Indonesia. Because of such efforts and the assistance of the U.S. State Department, Department of Justice, and Federal Bureau of Investigaiton we are emerging into a new season of building on what has been soundly established. Ruth’s House has been home and a symbol of hope for many young girls, so much so that we have outgrown our space. We are in pursuit of a larger home and the completion of an expansion to a three-shelter format. With the help of a generour donor, plans are moving forward in the purchase of a new property. It is with humility and great faith that we ask for your asistance in supporting these expasions. We cannot move forward without you.
