AWARE is seeking trainers who can facilitate community training events for Deceptions and Illusions. AWARE will provide instruction that equips leaders to coordinate school-based initiatives in their region.
Prefered Skills
- Previous public speaking experience
- Experience working with youth-classroom management tips will be included in the training
School-Based Initiative Overview
- Build school relations
- Recruit local speakers
- Monitor ongoing quality control of classroom presentations
- Train and certify local speakers
Certification Requirements
- Background check
- Observed demonstration of presentation and classroom interaction skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the AWARE material
Aware provides ongoing support, stipends for approved trainings, and revenue building strategies for its trained leaders.
Schedule:
- Thursday August 1st-1:00pm to 5:00pm
- Friday August 2nd-9:00am to 4:00pm (lunch provided and no-host dinner that evening)
- Saturday August 3rd-9:00am to 12:00 noon
Cost:
Registration fee: $349. After July 24th-$399. AWARE offers assistance to those seeking sponsorship to pay their registration fee.
