Counter-Child Trafficking: Free Global Online Conference

The Counter-Child Traficking Conference is the first global online conference to take place bringing together those working on child trafficking around the world to discuss various interventions and issues.  Sessions include:

  • Mexico: ‘From surviving to survivor’ – Rosi Orozco
  • USA: ‘Victim, survivor, leader: Empowering CSE and trafficked youth’ – Rachel Lloyd of GEMS
  • Middle East and USA: ‘Sex trafficking as a form of torture: Understanding the clinical implications of trauma on child victims of commercial sexual exploitation’ – Halleh Seddifhzadeh of ARMAN
  • UK: ‘Using drama as a method of healing for child trafficking victims’ – Debbie Ariyo of AFRUCA
  • Cambodia: ‘A ten-year study: Butterfly longitudinal findings, recommendations and practitioner feedback’ – Siobhan Miles of Chab Dai
  • Philippines: ‘More than safe’ – Gundelina Velasco, Love 146

There will also be keynote addresses from:

  • Maria Grazia Giammarinaro, OSCE Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combatting Trafficking in Human Beings
  • Joy Ngozi Ezelio, UN Special Rapportuer on Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children
  • Luis CdeBaca, United States Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons
