Human sex trafficking is quickly becoming a national crisis, and there is often confusion on what the words mean and who is affected. You are invited to a presentation and panel discussion that explores the dimensions of human sex trafficking and the ways that it is being conceptualized and addressed.
An expert panel will discuss the present situation, prevention strategies, rescue and restoration of victims, and prosecution of perpetrators. The au-dience will hear personal stories from a survivor, a prevention specialist, a speaker from the local faith community, local law enforcement, and an FBI agent.
In addition to expanding our understanding of sex trafficking: You can help! Before and after the program there will be a “How Can I Help Fair,” where you have the opportunity to get involved— to connect with organizations devoted to victim services and to the elimination of sex trafficking. This is your chance to move from understanding the problem to doing something about it.
There is no cost for the event
