About the Organization
Pure Life Alliance is committed to restoring wholeness for those affected by sexual brokenness. Pure Life Alliance is an intra-church ministry linking resources between and within churches to work together for sexual purity. The desire is to assist men and women in their pursuit of healthy sexuality, restore marriages and deepen couples' relationship with Christ.
It is estimated that half of all men involved in a church struggle with sexual purity issues. A conservative poll from ChristiaNet reported by Marketwire.com in August 2006 showed that 50% of all Christian men and 20% of all Christian women are addicted to pornography. Sexual addiction is a pattern of sexual behaviors that progressively worsen over time despite increasing negative consequences from those behaviors. Behaviors can range from pornography use and masturbation to prostitution.
How You Can Help
This is a volunteer-run organization with only two paid staff and around 60 volunteers. Volunteers are needed for office help, developing newsletters and stories to increase awareness, directors of counseling relations, church relations, and men and women spousal support groups. They have programs they would like to initiate in the areas of addressing children and parenting needs but need more volunteers to do so.
