About the Organization
Vision: Save as many children as we can, both domestically and internationally from sex trafficking and victimization, one child at a time. We want to provide rescued victims the life of safety and joy every child deserves.
Compassion2one is a Seattle based non-profit organization involved in every part of the rescue process. We firmly believe that something must be done in our own country to stop child sexual exploitation here. We hold information sessions in local communities to increase awareness of the child abduction and sex trafficking that exists in the US, and we have launched the Certified Trainer Program to teach, train, and certify volunteers in local communities on how to take action toward a solution. In 2012, our focus will become domestic. We have partnered with Genesis Project and plan to offer an internship program with courses in social justice and code of ethics/conduct. As awareness increases we see a need to develop and instigate a more structured program to train people to respond to the unique needs of people that have been trafficked.
Strategy: Compassion2one is actively involved in rescuing children from sex slavery and trafficking. Identifying those needing rescued can be difficult. C2One has international contacts to aid in finding children in need. Once identified, C2One strategizes and pursues ways to secure their rescue. Rescued children are placed in safe shelter homes where they are loved and adored by a staff that fosters their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Each child is provided medical care, clean water and food, and a secure family environment that cultivates healthy growth and development. We are also committed to increasing the number of safe home and orphanages worldwide. We partner with seasoned, trained caregivers who share our common values. Currently we operate homes domestically and fourteen safe homes internationally in Asia, SE Asia, Jamaica and Mexico. Children in C2one safe homes are equipped with education and job training that positions them to live healthy, productive, joyful lives.
