A comedy night for Rahab’s Sisters! Come join us for some laughs. Doors open at 8:00pm. Show starts at 9:00pm.
Your Host for the evening is Crystal Kordowski. She is a volunteer for Rahab’s Sisters for over 2 years. She is on the first Friday team and feels passionate about the mission. Her comedy is gross, nice, honest, and fun.
Featuring is Barbara Holm. Originally from Seattle, Barbara has performed at the San Francisco Sketchfest, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot Arts Festival, and the Women in Comedy Festival in Boston. She has written for IGN, Hahajk, and the Huffington Post. She has been awarded Time Out New York’s Joke of the Week and was named “one of the best things about comedy in 2012” by the Comedy Bureau. Her comedy has been described as clever, unique, idiosyncratic, and exuberant.
Your headliner for this evening is Lonnie Bruhn. Considered the most honest storyteller by the Portland Mercury and just returned home from his debut performance in North Carolina at the Cape Fear Comedy Festival. “What I am-honest, curious, uncensored, funny, physical, and kind of weirdly loveable (according to my fans). What I’m not-mediocre, bored, predictable, or coordinated. Tell me your story and I’ll tell you one too.”
Rahab’s Sisters gather Friday nights at Saints Peter and Paul Episcopal Church on SE 82nd Ave (between Stark and Burnside), from 7-10pm. We serve women of all faiths and women of no faith, offering a warm safe environment with food, hot coffee, conversation, health items, and–where appropriate–prayer. Like the original Rahab, we strive to give “friendly welcome” to those who would otherwise be on the streets and in danger. Rahab’s Sisters vision is a city where all women are safe from physical and sexual exploitation. For more information visit www.rahabs-sisters.org.
