What Can I Do About Human Trafficking? Abolition Now

Have you been moved by the issue of sexual exploitation and are looking for ways to get informed and involved? We admire your passion and are excited to share resources to get you started on your journey! Everyone can do something about human trafficking because everyone has unique skills, abilities, and interests that can bless others. Although human trafficking is a dark and pervasive issue, we believe that when we all rise up together to fight it, we will see a future where human beings are no longer exploited for profit.

Abolition Now is the resource website of Adorned In Grace. We are a collaboration of churches and anti-trafficking organizations bringing sex trafficking into the spotlight and pursuing solutions together. We exist to see communities where people are safe from sexual exploitation and experiencing abundant life in Jesus through the united service of the Church. Abolition Now and Adorned In Grace are a ministry of Compassion Connect, a Portland based nonprofit whose mission is uniting churches to serve their community together.

Stay updated on upcoming events, needs in our community, and the many ways you can join the movement!

“My early years of going to the Adorned In Grace Design Studio, I was drinking, smoking marijuana, self harming and talking to older men online. On top of all of that, I was still trying to be a 15 year old girl, and living in an unstable, abusive household, the Design Studio was one of the lifelines that I clung to. Another way my life changed was from my mentors' knowledge about what red flags looked like for sex traffickers. If I hadn’t been part of the Design Studio, I probably wouldn't be in college, or have the support system that I do now.”

“Words cannot express the gratitude I have for each of you that make AIG possible. The love and grace of God you have shown me has made all the difference for me. It gave me something to believe in, even when I couldn’t believe in myself.”

“I’ve been a foster kid since I was nine, and I’ve always felt like I didn’t belong anywhere, I felt like nobody cared about me. As soon as I went to the Adorned In Grace Design Studio I was welcomed with open arms. I felt like people actually cared about me.”

“The ministry of Adorned in Grace has impacted and blessed our entire family. When our daughter was subjected to unspeakable abuse, we as her parents did not know what to do or how to help our daughter. The life-impacting work of Adorned In Grace is desperately needed and words cannot express how grateful we are to the Lord for having Adorned In Grace ready to freely and sacrificially serve us at a time in our life when we all needed it the most.”

“Eleanor Roosevelt said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” My entire life, I felt inferior, but at AIGT and through the program “Mending the Soul” I learned that I am not inferior, that in God’s eyes, in the eyes of our Loving Father in Heaven, I am not inferior, but a daughter of the King of Kings!”
