The Guardian Group
About The Organization
Founded in 2010, the Guardian Group was created to confront the harsh reality of modern-day slavery, namely child sex slavery, to stop the problem at its source - the point of demand – and to assist in the discovery, identification and intervention of minor victims of sexual exploitation.
The Guardian Group works with our partners in local, state and federal law enforcement, prosecution and service providers to provide the necessary training and continuing education, as well as both the time and life saving technologies to fight child sex trafficking. We also seize windows of opportunity to support effective measures to identify, report, track and prosecute those engaged in child sex trafficking.
The victims of sex trafficking come from differing ethnicities, ages and income levels. Most are runaway youth, but some are caught in this exploitation through family members or from being victims of international exploitation. The primary geographic region served is Central Oregon, with plans to expand to other regions throughout Oregon and California.
